02 dodge neon speedometer

My 02 dodge neon the speedometer wasnt working
when i got the car...so i went and got codes read
came back as speed sensor so i replaced the speed
sensor in and out put but still got nothing and still
isnt working shifts fine everything but the
speedometer works on the cluster what else should
i replace or could it be its the base modle neon
