can  I replace a head gasket  if it isn't blown like
just for  prevented maintenance?  i have the head
off

If you have the head off you need to install a new gasket. Using the old one is a bad idea.

May we ask why you have the cylinder head off of the car?

timing belt snapped replacing all 16 valves
