Ok, now whatbyou are required to do is obtain the codes generated by the onboard diagnostics, once you know tge codes write themm down, message them to me and we can move onward. It could be anyone of 300 codes, try this first, go to your gas cap, give it 8 turns, this tightens the system which your cap under heat could be escaping from the tank, if the light goes out, you sokved your own problem. ☺

My fingers are large sorry for typos, gas fumes leak from cap, sets code. Heat in tank increases pressure. Thanks for useing cargurus

Have it read for codes, even if the check engine light is NOT on the computer will have stored information and codes. Discount auto stores will read codes for no fee. write them down.

Its my evap purge control valve

P1450 is the code

It could be the purge valve itself, sensors on the fuel tank, or even the charcoal filter. It can be caused by force filling the gas tank when refueling and getting liquid fuel into the vapor lines. If the purge valve fails completely it can try to pull a vacuum test on the tank to see if it is holding vacuum. If it continues to pull the vacuum it can collapse the fuel tank like a beer can. I believe the pollution components on the vehicle are warranted for seven years. Check the dealership, it may be a freebie.
