Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Two days ago my car started making a bad clanking / rattling / chattering
sound right when I start it for about 1-2 seconds and goes away. This
happens every time, not just when cold. It also happens sometimes when i
turn the ac on. Its a knocking noise like if you were to put a bolt in the dryer
with clothes and turned it on. Tumbling intermittent knock.

Might be a loose heat shield on the exhaust components.
