Why would our 2012 Honda CRV not shift into high when it rains?
Left our home - went half mile in heavy rain and car would not shift into high gear. Took it back to garage and let it sit - used our pickup instead because of appointment we had to keep. Returned in the afternoon - checked transmission fluid - fine- took it out for drive - rain had cleared - car shifted fine. We've used several times since and had no problem. What could have cause our shifting problem and will it happen again in a heavy rain?
It is possible that the wheel speed sensor were sensing more wheel slip than normal due to the wet road, so the computer would not allow top gear so you could maintain control, it most likely would started shifting normally as the roads cleared.
