Is it me or my CRV?

Asked by Apr 10, 2015 at 07:36 PM about the 2012 Honda CR-V EX-L w/ Nav AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My CRV has recently been making sounds like the door is locking (clicking), then like the signal lights are on (ticking); this happened 3 times while driving and Honda checked the steering column stating they didn't know what it was but all was fine.  Then the other day it did it again and then all the dash lights started to flicker; I pulled over and shut the car off and this all continued with the key in and out of the ignition.  The car door had locked itself, so I unlocked it manually, then it locked on me again.  I put the key back in the ignition, started it and all was fine.  Any thoughts??  I feel like I'm going crazy and there's no way I can get to Honda while this is happening randomly.

Sounds like a corroded or loose connection somewhere. It will be hard to find. Find a local mechanic who is good with electrics.
