Would the security fob cause electrical system problems

What would cause the security fob to cause the horn, lights flashing?

Security system in active mode. So the fob maybe bad, security system not recognizing the signal from the fob, security system needs reprogrammed, main processor failure.

Had the same issue with my 2006 Durango. Had to take it to the dealership and get new key fobs and them programmed to my car.
