I have a 2012 CRV that makes strange noises
Hi, I have a 2012 AWD Crv. In the mornings, when I reverse out of my garage and down
the driveway, new sounds have started occurring. When in reverse there's a sound
coming from the rear, almost like the rear wheels or axel are being forced to move by the
power from the front wheels. Similar to the sound a self propelled lawn mower makes
when pushed around and not on. Then when I go to drive forward, I hear what sounds
like flat rear tires. I went up the road a couple hundred feet, pulled over, and the tires are
fine. I get back in and start driving and all the sounds are gone!!?!? and everything
sounds normal. Anyone have any ideas? This happens every day! Could this be an
issue with the AWD system?
yes...assure the CV boots are still holding grease by poking them with a phillips screwdriver....you will see which axles and CV joints will need to be replaced...if you wait long enough your drivetrain will sound like a helicopter~
