Ford truck fuel issues

Sometimes I have to pump the gas and keep
feathering pedal to get it started most times it
starts right up what could it be

Throttle position sensor, they have had problems with tps. They developed a new generation sensor that is better than the 2 previous generation sensors. See Fordtechmakuloco utube channel .
