The transmission fluid level needs to be at operating temperate to check it correctly from underneath the car. How many miles on your Corolla?

Agree with Tom, Miles?

Thanks for the response. 110,000 miles I called to get filter, pan gasket, and fluid. Parts man told me filter gets cleaned then reused. Then he said let me check with a tech I think that year needs to be check with a scan tool because its difficult to put the right amount in without a scan tool?? This puzzled me because I know you check the level at operating temp. with the engine running via the trans dip stick. So why would I need a scan tool? I want to drain change/clean filter and refill. One you tube video said to measure what you remove and refill with same amount. Then run and check. I think this trans gets WS (world standers fluid) Does it have to be toyots? or any WS will do? Thanks, David
