Toyota Corolla 2012 weird noise.
I have a 2012 Toyota Corolla at around 64,000 miles. Today it started making a weird noise when I brake. Not like a squeeling noise but just a weird noise when I brake. What is wrong? and is it expensive to get fixed? cars stress me out so much.
Go have your brakes checked, may be brake pads are wore,go let a pro take a look at it should not be that costly.
Thanks so much! I will! :)
There is thing that Corollas do- if you only hear it for the first 2 or 3 stops it is rust on the rotor(s) burning off and no worries. Normal. But if it still makes this after several applications of brakes then that is not what it is.
I have a 2012 with just over 34K ..it recently started making a low almost roar rumbling sound...not screeching...I check rotors and they are smooth...so I decided to just go ahead and put on some ceramic pads...easy job to do. 20min per side. The old pads still had a little life on them so I would have to replace them in a month or two anyway. I haven't heard the sound since yesterday...could have been the clips on them or just rust on edge of rotors..I will update if the sound returns.
