1989 Jeep Wrangler YJ won’t go into 4x4 high

Asked by Mar 12, 2019 at 10:23 AM about the 1989 Jeep Wrangler 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 1989 Jeep Wrangler YJ will run great in
2x4 and 4x4 low, but when you switch it into
4x4 high, it don’t engage and does nothing, it
just sets there and won’t move at all. Also the
4x4 shifter lever inside the Jeep keeps
coming loose and falling off the thing it
attaches to. What’s wrong and what do I
need to fix it? By the way it’s a 1989 Jeep
Wrangler YJ, 4.2 liter engine, 5-speed manual

“It don’t engage” “It doesn’t engage Correct grammar will ad to your credibility

You know what, there are other people on here that use worse grammar! What is the deal with you all? All I wanted to do was ask a question about my Jeep! I will not recommend Cargurus!
