Ready to drive to work just like always. 2012 Buick Regal automatic. Just got it. With foot on brake, I push button to start, engine starts. Keeping foot on brake, I try to shift from Park to Reverse. Not happening! There's no doubt, the shifter is not moving to Reverse! WHY? Is there something I can do or try real quick? I have to get to work or I'm afraid they are going to fire me. Help!

It was a problem with the cable link the (I guess) shifter works off of. Whatever caused the shifter to not go in gear operates off a cable link, so dealership is sending a tow truck and I will get a loaner car while they work on my car. My *new* car!! Ugh. I hate car trouble, don't you?
