Fahrenheit changed to Celsius

Asked by Feb 20, 2016 at 08:39 PM about the 2012 Kia Optima EX Turbo

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2012 KIA Optima. LOVE THIS CAR!  Although somehow the
thermometer indicator in the dash has changed from "F" to "C".  How do I get
it back to "F"?

mess around with the settings on the dash until you get it right, trial and error.

It is the computer illuminated one, it is digital and have not found any way to 'change' it even through trial and error. It has been like this for 3 weeks.

uncertain of your configuration..but MODE....and Select usually does the job~

I will try. I was able to get the MPG back in line too... Just drives me a little sideways with the "C" and not the "F"... haha (It still drives like a dream. The "F" isn't mandatory to enjoy the car ;) ) THANK YOU

...goin' Canadian...you know that you must take a trip to Canada now so that your display can read correctly..yep, that's my solution to your predicament...a painting....just cause I'm a showoff~!

you'll need a new hat too, one with a tuke on top~

haha bob_nuseske, you might have to teach me the conversions from "F" to "C" even if I did come to Canada.. haha

easy 100 is BOILING...Zero is FREEZING...opposed to Fahrenheit 212 degrees boiling and 32 degrees Freezing~ kinda makes us look dopey~ want to come and see you diane..~
