I want to know if I overpaid for my 2009 Honda Odyssey EX-L back in 2012 and what it will be worth in 2017.

is there a tool that essentially tracks the price of a particular model year at the time it was
purchased and how it has depreciated over time and into the future?

Well no, we can,t see the future,if we could we would not buy thing,s that depreciate,like car,s.As soon as you buy a new one and drive it of the lot,it loose,s value anywhere from $5000 to $8000,depending on what type you bought.

Check the kbb.com,give you some idea what price is now,then brake it down in to a third,should be about right.

value is dependent on vehicle condition- that is the x-factor in determining what a car is worth- having said that, it is true that people love those Honda things- having said THAT, modern, 21st century cars are just junk- all cars, really- they carry us around, but can make our lives an expensive, living hell- in my opinion, (for what it's worth), no car is worth the thousands you spent for that Odyssey- buy a bicycle and ride mass transport- now you can see that motor vehicles, like my advice, have only perceived value- that is to say, NO value- ommmm

It's worth around $18K now depending on mileage and condition. I used 60K miles as an estimate. So 3 years from now? I looked at a 2006 model (2009-3 =2006) and with higher mileage of course, 100K estimate, it was worth around $10K. So that's my guess to your answer.
