where is the camshaft position sensor located?

It is on the drivers side. Bolted to the head. Easier to get at if you take out the battery and battery tray.

There are 4 bolts holding the cam sensor to the back of the head, on the transmission side. There is a rubber o-ring that seals the sensor to the head, be sure that it seats properly on re-assembly, otherwise it will leak oil. I think the bolts are 8mm, and are easily accessible once the breather tubes are relocated (I did mine with a 1/4 drive ratchet).
