What's going on with my truck??

Asked by Dec 19, 2015 at 08:39 PM about the 2003 Dodge Dakota 2 Dr SLT Plus 4WD Extended Cab SB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Truck was doing just fine until this morning.
Seen a yellowish color under the front part
of truck. I would start the truck and after a
minute or so there would be a grinding
noise. Coolant was low so i added more.. Its
not leaking fast. But i also haven't driven it
because of the leak I seen so it MAY leak a
lot when driving.. As of right now I go and try
to start my truck it barley wants to.. Its like
the starter or battery is going out.... I have
no clue Whats going on.. Its not over heating
and my heat inside truck doesn't work but
my a.c. does.. Sound familiar to anyone?

The yellow leak is coolant as you found out. So you are leaking it somewhere and sounds like some is getting on your ignition components not allowing you to start the truck. Find out where it is leaking from, usually after the truck is warmed up some and open the hood, and repair. Look at the hoses, clamps, water pump, reservoir, etc.
