Hi, I am a back yard mechanic alongside my Certified mechanic dad, I have a 2003
dodge dakota 3.9 L 5 speed 4wd, It has us stumped, also has my Uncle who is AAA
certified scratching his head, My truck has been ahving a problem, where it will run for
a bit and then all of a sudden I go to press in the Gas pedal and theres nothing....it has
a rough idle and bogs, spudders, and pops in the carberator, it also has fuel rail its an
in between, I have replaced the following, Crank sensor, ignition coil, throttle position
sensor, distributor cap and rotor, plugs and wires, but still it does this.....when I go to
step on the Gas it bogs down almost like its being suffocated, and then when i let go
of the pedal it will idle but rough, I have also put in a new fuel pump and cleared off the
cat...Im stumped
