Have had 2012 Avalon for a month & "Maintainence Required" light came on today. Dealer changed oil before selling it to us but did not reset the "maintainence". How do we reset it?
Turn key to on and put odometer on total mileage, not trip A or B. Turn key off. Push trip reset button and hold, turn on key to run, don't start engine. Hold button and watch odo count down lines, 4, 3, 2 , 1 ) release button and light will be off, (don't forget to turn off key)
Oh yeah..push button start? Same except push the button twice while holding trip reset. WITHOUT foot on brake
Read your answer to my husband; then we went out to try it, with me reading instructions to him again! IT WORKED!!! Thanks so VERY MUCH!!! (Didn't want to have to go to local Toyota dealer to find this out, since we didn't buy car from him!! Live in small town!) Not push- button start!
Quite welcome, happy to help
Worked today for me...thanks
