taillights wont turn on

My 2003 dodge dakota slt tail lights will not turn on after replacing the bulbs and all other
lights work (break lights, reverse lights, signals) but the actual tail light will not turn on.
Help!

Ahhh...a used car lot...that explains a lot Newport Beach not Anaheim my mistake..Newport Beach, some of the most expensive Real Estate in the world....home of Dean Koontz....pricey...more than Malibu even

are you sure you didn't just put in single element bulb instead of a double fllament? I have also had to replace the sockets on mine for the same malfunction.

try swaping the 1st and second sockets (from the top) should be a three pin

swapped the sockets and the same problem. the tail lights wont light up at all

It could be a fuse. Check all your fuses in your fuse box. One might be blown.
