A tune up and filter change would be the place to start. Use a good fuel system cleaner in the gas tank.

Usually shaking during idle is caused by a misfiring cylinder. When was the last tune-up? You should check the spark plugs and wires. If you look under the hood when it is dark, look over the plug wires to see if you see any arching plug wires. Could also be a bad cap & rotor. This just a guess as you have given very little information.

If the Check Engine Light is on have your local auto parts store read the trouble codes.

Incidentally the normal idle speed is around 800 rpm or a little lower.
