I have a 1984 4x4 w150 dodge pickup with slant six. Will not start with key, however I can jump it off of starter. I have changed the ignition switch and I have a brand solenoid. Any suggestions?

If you have a manual transmission there is a safety for the clutch. When you push the clutch peddle you complete the circuit for the starter. The relay is probably bad. You can replace the relay or by pass it. Best is to replace it.
