i have an 87 dodge 1\2 ton i cannot figure out why i am not getting any spark need help

Check ignition coil

I have an 88. Its either the hall effect sensor, or the connection with the wiring harness. I ran into the same problem when installing a new engine last week and bought a new distributor and it fired right up.
