Dodge Journey heat control

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

We were driving, on highway, for approx 1 hour, we had the heat on and all of a sudden we started to feel cold on our feet.  Sometimes there is heat coming out of the vents on the passengers side and cool on the drivers side when the heat is at the same temp. for both sides.

We took our Journey back to the dealership and they installed "centre stack" now we have lots of heat all the time.

We have a heating problem with a 2015 Dodge Journey. There is no heat control. Even at 61 degrees, it blows warm air. The only way to get cool air is on lowest setting. The dealer claims that Chrystler does not have a fix for this. They even claim that another Journey tested has the same problem so the situation is "normal" .

I am having the exact same problem...heat works for a bit at all temperatures up to max for about 30 mins, then cold air. It always works on max but who wants to melt in their car. I am wondering where the temperature gauge is and if its tricked into thinking it has exceeded the selected temperature. This might explain why the max setting works but not others.

Puppies101, did they replace your centre stack? I looked up that part and it just looks like the centre console for your heating controls.

So stupid question but I have a 2009 Dodge Journey , A/c is working but it isn't cooling the car down. Its blowing and its cold, but car stays hot. If I want it the coldest , should I set the dial at lo or 61? Which is coldest?

What I’ve recently discovered is that you have to have the A/C on even for heat. It’s a weird glitch or something, but it worked.

Just to let you know when heat only comes out one side when. The controls are set to sync and heat all the way up but one side blows cold.. your having a problem with your " blend-door" it's what makes it to where one side can be warm and the other cold. First take your glove box out and to the left there will be three white actuators. Mess with all the settings for cold and hot and make sure they all are spinning. If not that's the problem . But if they all are you have to replace the whole blendor device. It's a couple hundred. But it will fix the problem.
