My car is constantly over heating i have tried coolant and it only helps for a little while but i did discover that one of my fans under my hood wit not come on could that be the reason?

yes that could be the issue ,with out working fans the radiator gets overheated making the the temperature rise,or there could be an issue with your water pump ,there might be not enough coolent cooling the engine.goodluck
