I failed to get his name and number. I had already found what I thought was a answer. And he had it the problem solved. This is a correct solution. You have to be a little macanical skills. This will get you unplug the brakelight switch from the pedal. Your truck should run. You can unplug the the pig tail it still will work. Ok the simplest way to go about it is take out the plug and put it to the side. You can remove the small caps(small covers two of them) Next take a small brush and brush the pins in the brakelight very litly until you see a shine to the pins. You can do the same brushing on the pig tail. Remember to replace the covers. Put it all back together. Done, you can use the old switch or get a new one. If you do replace it gently brush it for a good connection.
