coolant level continues to become low, but no leak that I can detect

Asked by Jul 22, 2015 at 01:08 PM about the 2004 Dodge Durango SLT

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have 2004 Dodge Durango (Hemi).  Topped off with coolant 8 days ago, checked it last night and it was low again.  Checked, no leaks that I can detect on the driveway, someone told me it was possible that the coolant could somehow leak into the cooling system for the transmission - could be serious - how do I check for this or is this something a mechanic needs to check out?

Could be leaking into the trans, look at the fluid in the coolant reservior, is the fluid like a pink milkshake? Also could be leaking from the radiator, hose, water pump, etc, and evaporating off from the heat of the engine/exhaust. Also check your oil, pull the dipstick. Is if foamy?
