2012 Edge Hazard Lights

Asked by EdgeAir Jun 10, 2021 at 08:40 PM about the 2012 Ford Edge Sport

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The hazard lights on my 2012 Edge no longer turn on by the button.  I think it's
a electrically issue.  Anyone have this issue or have a fix?  Thanks!

Note the diagram, See that 20 amp fuse, not only check the fuse, use a test light and check voltage at fuse, hot all the time. see the fcm, in diagram, the top wire on left is voltage. The top wire on the right is signal to bcm. The bottom black wire is ground. I'd check for good voltage and ground, also check the signal wire. there are trouble codes for hazard switch, B type codes, manufacturer specific codes. To check codes yourself, you need a code reader that will work with your vehicle and read manufacturer specific codes as well as po codes. There might be something wrong with fcm?? Don't replace anything unless your testing points in that direction. I can only help with testing. good luck
