Charger lost power while driving and hasn't started back.

While driving on the highway going 85 miles
an hour my charger RT loses power
completely after pulling over it would not
start back again jumped it and still nothing
towed it home and bought brand new
battery and it started briefly for 10 seconds
then notice the sensor on the negative
terminal was melted off took car to shop
they said that it was the starter and the
sensor cable they fixed both and now it still
won't start and now they're saying it's the
motor. Anyone with ant ideas.

Make sure battery has a full charge and connections all good? If it cranks good but won't start, have a helper crank it while you check for spark at the plugs--check proper fuel pressure--check fuel injector pulse--check applicable trouble codes. What about your security system? Check cylinder compression, w/o compression, it won't start. If cranking rpms are faster than normal, it may mean, there is no compression. When cranking, let starter motor cool off a bit between cranks. good luck

Take it to a different shop and don't tell them what the previous shop told you. See what they have to say. Has the vehicle been checked for any stored codes ?

I too have a 2009 charger and it stopped on me while driving. Towed it home does not turn over just clicks once. Will not start with a jump battery is good. Im so lost! Put a new starter in and nothing its just sitting....
