08 Honda Accord no heat

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I’ve replaced the thermostat and flushed the
heater core. Still no heat. Sometimes if I rev
the engine I can hear coolant trickling into the
heater core. Which makes me think that the
water pump may be faulty, only issue with
that is the car isn’t overheating. I don’t
believe the heater core is the issue because I
can run water through it both ways and flow
is okay. Help......!!!!

Thanks for the advice. I actually just back flushed the heater core with clr and the heat is working now. Just in time for the cold weather so that’s good. Thanks again

I used an air compressor. I took off the heater hoses from the engine and blew air in both directions starting with the outlet hose. Made sure all the fluid was out of the heater core and then poured clr in and let it sit for a few mins than flushed it both directions with water and repeated it like 5 times filled the core with antifreeze took it for a drive topped up the coolant and good to go.
