2001 accord automatic transmission jerks when put in gear and when i come to a stop. Already drained the fluid and put new hg atf. What could be the problem? What should i do next?
I just intalled it last week, got it from ebay,
my old transmission did the same then
went to not shifting, then to down shifting
Is your instrument gauge cluster working properly? Especially your speedo and tach?
Yes, everything fine
Could it be bad cv joints?
No, They would make noise. They would have to be practically seized to make the transmission jerk. When you say jerking, do you mean that it revs up then slams into gear, like it's low on fluid? Or do you mean that it jerks several times when engaging a gear like first for example?
slams into gear when i go from p to r or from p to d4, also launches forward when i come to a stop.
I would try to replace the VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor) on the transmission first. If that doesn't cure it, you may have a bad shift solenoid. You will have to take it to a tranny shop.
Will do,. Thank you
What is the difference between the sensor in the front and the one in the back?
I replaced the vss and didnt change a thing
