Transmission not working in reverse

Unfortunately, the transmission on many Dodge Vehicles from this age are very problem prone. I would start with the transmission fluid to see if its burnt, or low. Burnt means instead of the normal "pink" color, it will be DARK. Also inspect for metal flakes in the fluid. If any of these are present the gear is out, and the transmission will need repair or replacement. Best of luck!
