I'm looking to buy a 2005 dodge stratus, the bad is he said threw rod meaning the engine needs to be replaced. Can I just have the engine rebulit or replace it completely?

Unless,you know this person and trust them,there alot of things,you may not know,like is trainsmission good?And who know,s what else without being able to drive it.

Get some quotes on a rebuild and a used or reman engine. Like TST mentioned, how is the rest of the vehicle? Your gonna since in a few thousand. Sounds like it was driven hard.
