Use the key that is part of the fob to open the drivers door. Should be a lock near the handle.

thanks Tom, Have tried both key on it, but it's of no use... is there a way to open the hood ?

If the key doesn't work, then there is a problem with the lock. Should be the same key which starts the car. Don't know if pop a lock will work unless the code is bypassed.
