Service Engine Light
I own a 2006 Nissan Altima 170,000ml 2.5l engine,
I was driving on the interstate going about 80mph
when my engine suddenly stalled, and my service
engine light came on. I pulled over, grateful I didn't
cause a wreck, turned engine off immediately. I sat
there for a bit then turned it on again and got off
the nearest exit about 1.5mls my temp became
severely hot and I basically coasted and parked in
a parking lot. When I opened the hood it appeared
to have antifreeze/coolant all over. I've had horrible
luck with this car..service engine light is still on.
What do I do?
SEL is on probably due to the overheating. You will need to find out why it overheated in the first place, and you can have the car scanned for the codes too.
