I have a 2012 Nissan Sentra. it cals for 5w30 in the book but car repair pllace says it needs to be a synthetic oit. Is this true?
If your owner's manual says 5W-30 conventional oil then that's what should be in there. You can use synthetic oil but it's more expensive and you can't go back to conventional oil later. HTH. -Jim
Accidentally put in a quart of synthetic oil in my 2012 Nissan sentra. It had regular 5w30. Did I damage the engine
