2012 Jeep Cherokee water sloshing under driver floor with 4 inch. wet spot
Rain water is getting into my car somehow. I don't notice water anywhere in the car except a 4 inch. wet spot where my right foot heel goes. I can hear what sounds like a lot of water sloshing under the floor. I initially thought it was in my car door but am assuming its under the floor because of the wet spot. I pulled the carpet up and it's soaking wet under there. Any ideas on how the water is getting in??
Does the vehicle have a sunroof or an aftermarket fron windshield?
No sunroof and it has the original front windshield.
I'm also trying to find out what is under the floor on the drivers side. A lot of other ppl experience this on the passenger side bc water is getting into the battery well.
well another possibility is that the AC system drain for the evaporator is clogged the condensation from the evaporator releases water and is supposed to drain out, when you have your ac on does a puddle of water accumulate outside of the truck under the passenger side?
I'm not sure. I don't have a driveway so it's not easily noticeable. I'm pretty sure it's rain getting under the floor somehow as it only happens when it rains. the water will stay for days or weeks after a rain, but will eventually dry out or get out somehow - not sure but the sloshing sound goes away and wet spot dries up a week or so after a rain.
Only sure way is having your headliner and trim pieces in side removed and having one person sit inside while another person hoses the truck down tomsee where the water is trickling in from. it has to be a seam that is not sealed correctly
