I have a 2005 dodge neon sxt l have engine coolant leaking out of the spark plug well and also in oil is that a blown head gasket.

If so would you replace the head gasket or place a used motor in the car

If it is just a headgasket and the head isn't cracked or warped beyond milling then that would be the easiest to do, but if the engine is high mileage or has a cracked block along with a blown headgasket then replacing the engine would be the thing to do. 12 year old Neon, useless it is in really fine shape might not even be worth sinking any money into at all.

If you can do the work yourself and save on labor cost and take the head to a shop for pressure check and resurface and new valve seals and have valves cleaned up The cost would be much less to do then taking it in for a repair shop bill. Replace the timing belt while at it and water pump if it never been replaced.
