How do I find the amperage of my alternator on a 2004 Chev Venture

I have to change my serpentime belt on my 2004 venture, how do I find the amperage of the alternator on this vehicle?

there should be a label/tag on the alternator. you can also ask the auto parts store. if you know your option package and engine size, they should know which is which.

Look for the RPO sticker on the inside of the glove box door. It will say "do not remove" and have your vehicle identification number on it. You'll see number/letter combinations in groups of 3. These are the option codes for your vehicle. One of those codes should be for the alternator amperage. The auto parts store will tell you what code you're looking for on the sticker. HTH. -Jim
