Car won't start. Radio comes on and lights, but won't start when I push the button?
Car sat from 2:15 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. All was fine. Now it won't start? Radio comes on and lights on, why won't it start?
You might have a couple of possible problems: 1. Dying battery 2. Alternator not charging properly Most vehicles need 9.6 volts to crank the engine over so it will start. The lights and radio will work well below this minimum. Your alternator output should be between 14 - 14.5 volts, if not, the battery is not getting enough voltage to charge it properly.
Donnamangrum - Did you ever find out what the problem was? I am having the same problem. I have a 2013 with a push button start. Hadn't drove since Tuesday. Went out Saturday and it wouldn't start. As you said the lights and radio are on but when I push the button it wont turn over.
