2005 Dodge Durango sounds like it has an exhaust ticking noise at the start of engine and   
then goes away in a while.

Check your bolted/flanged connections on the exhaust. Get your ears under the hood when you start it up when the truck is cold. Exhaust manifold?

Also check your engine oil level, if low it can take a while to get oil pressure up.
