Where to find a short block

Asked by Apr 14, 2013 at 12:30 AM about the 2006 Dodge Stratus SXT

Question type: Shopping & Pricing

I am replacing the engine block in my 2006 Stratus 2.4L. For a couple weeks now I have been hunting
with no luck. I am searching for a short block...just need it to include the crankshaft and pistons. Does
anyone know where I can find one...I have searched craigslist, ebay, local junkyards, and have asked on
the dodge forums. I cannot seem to find one. Thanks.

Try rockauto.com or your local auto parts store. I work at NAPA and we occasionally order engines for people. You could also look on ATK's website or Jasper's website. Buying directly from the remanufacturer can save you money too. HTH. -Jim
