I bought a 2004 ford escape which needed front tires back tires were at about 75% fronts were left was at 60% right was bald I have a set of perfect 90% tires same size and tread pattern I want to put
on front seeing that an escape is primary front drive until one of the front wheels slips do you think the difference in tread depth will be harmful I'm thinking it would be better than having a baldy on the front as is now
If the tires are the same size, it shouldn't be a problem. I would suggest investing in a 4 wheel alignment as it sounds like you have some tire wear issues.
Thanks there appear to be many conflicting ideas on types of awd on demand full time etc I read anything in the manual that ford says you can't just Change a pair but also even a complete set would wear differently and as in the case of the last owner probably wasn't big on tire rotations thank you for your input
