brain box in 2006 durango
How do I reset the brain box after I have a dead battery? It seems the truck wants to idle super high
You would have another issue than the computer if it is idling high like a vacuum leak. Also try taking it for a drive first, it just might have to relearn itself and the sensor settings.
Usually you wind up at the dealer getting it reflashed, but if your luck you do what is called a drive cycle, this takes around twenty minutes for driving as you normally would, at the end of that time it should have settled back into a normal idle, if not and you don't find a vacuum leak then it's off to the dealer.
