Ford escape 4cyl

Asked by Mar 28, 2015 at 12:34 AM about the 2004 Ford Escape XLS

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I was driving my car and then the engine cut out. I have tried starting it and it stays
idle for around 10 seconds then turns off. Would anyone have an idea what is the
problem. I have tried starting it and sometimes it doesn't start or sometimes it will
then it will stop after around 10 seconds.

Any help would be most appreciated.

Might be a wiring issue, such as an ignition component. Time to have a mechanic diagnose it for you. I hate for you to just replace parts.

thank you very much for the quick reply and information.
