Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Last month I had the transmission in my 2006 Durango replaced.  It was replaced initially because my car would shut off while driving.  Now instead of it shutting off it stalls every time I slow down or back up.  Could you please tell me why?

IAC - Idle Air Control Unit (For those reading this who haven't googled the term).

Clean your map/mav sensor. It's located somewhere on your throttle body/air intake. That little diode measures the amount of O2 in the air and adjusts the amount of fuel to send to the injectors. If it gets just a little dirty it throws off the whole system. Squirt it once or twice with engine cleaner. Be careful though. It's delicate and expensive. It'll improve your mpg too..
