how do I know if transmission fluid is low, due to not having dipstick to check

If you are leaking, then it would be low. If not, then you should be fine. But the proper way is you'll have to get the car in the car in the air, either on a lift or solid jackstands on a level surface. remove the fill plug and some should dribble out. That means it's full. If none dribbles out, then you have to pump some more in. You need some fluid and a hand pump, have the car warm etc. Search online for the proper way to perform this task or have a mechanic take care of it for you.

Ron, Either you are LOW on Fluid or it is used/burnt and NEEDS to be replaced, bring it in to a local mechanic Or Your Nearest Jiffy Lube to check, Thank you, Matt (jiffy Lube)| (fargo, ND, Store #1576) "THANKYOU"
