It is a safety feature that will automaticaly help stop your car if you approach a vehicle to fast,it is called emergency brake assist.

Sensors on the front of a car that detect objects and automatically stop your car. I find it to be an extremely dangerous idea, even though it has good intent.

apbimmer98 I agree 100% ... it leads to driver complacency... I can turn around and check on kids in back seat, no worries, the car will take care of it's self" VERY well put, good intent but regardless you need to PAY ATTENTION to driving and not rely on these so-called 'safety devices" Excellent post

Thank you! If you watch the Top Gear crossovers episode, that is one good exhibit of why it's dangerous. It works only when it wants to, and sometimes stopping can make the situation worse.
