we have a 2004 Forsd escape, AWD that has just blown the engine. What is the usual cost to replace that engine. Is it worth it?

for a new remanufactured engine. Your talking $3-5K for the engine and labor. Try to have your mechanic find a used engine and or repair the current one. If you walk away, the Escape is worth scrap value if you sell it not running.
