I have LTZ Impala 2012, all highway miles 45000, started noise in the car, called dealer , he says may be wheel bearings, how much it will cost to replace them, if one is bad, replace both or not,
Recalls are for safety issues, wheel bearings are wear items. If in fact it is a wheel bearing, I would replace only that one, no reason to replace in pairs. Have your local mechanic inspect the car for you. It might be something else, the dealership was only guessing and they will cost you more $$$. A wheel bearing replacement will be around $300-$500
Mark, I highly appreciated your comments. Thanks
the wheel bearing is in a hub assembly.. had that problem in a 2000 LeSabre at the same milage.. 1200 for both wheels.
